WHO WE ARE

No single organisation can solve cancer early detection alone.

By bringing together expertise from across disciplines, institutions and countries, we're creating collaborations that enable research at a scale no single centre could deliver on its own.

Our members are:

Cancer Research UK, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, The University of Manchester, the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), University College London, Knight Cancer Institute at OHSU and the University of Cambridge.

HOW WE WORK

We stimulate, enable and support collaboration across our member centres.

Our work is built around four key areas:

  • innovative research

  • shared infrastructure

  • training and career development

  • patient and public involvement and engagement

Talisia Quallo.

By uniting global expertise and infrastructure, ACED is doing what no single institution can: shifting the needle on the most complex research challenges in early detection and diagnosis to create a future where cancers are detected earlier, are more treatable and more people survive.

- Talisia Quallo, Head of Prevention and Early Detection Research, Cancer Research UK
